HP ENVY 17-j020us Quad Edition Notebook Deal

Nigguhhigguh: This laptop is perfect, it handles everything without any problems. there is no back-lit keyboard on this model(j020us), but if that's what you need then i don't recommend it. the screen size is perfect for watching movies/videos. Windows 8 is honestly not even as bad as people make it seem. it took me about 20 minutes to figure out everything. the only bad thing is the 5400rpm hdd, which isnt a super big deal. the laptop boots pretty quick and the battery life isn't terrible, but what do you expect out of a 17.3-inch screen with 1600x900 pixels and a beast processor. the sound on this laptop is pretty good the beats audio is alright, you can definitely hear the base.

Suzanne Francis: There is bluetooth on this model. its build quality is pretty nice it doesn't feel super cheap but its nowhere near Apple quality. it doesn't seem to run too hot it stays around 40-50 degrees when running most applications which is decent. browsing the web it gets around mid 30s to low 40s. I bought a 2 year warranty from Square Trade and its way better than paying for an HP warranty, so for people complaining its pointless never buy a warranty from the company that makes the product as they will take their sweet time. Overall this is a pretty good laptop that will handle just about any application you throw at it. I wouldn't recommend it for gaming as the GPU is pretty weak, so if you're a gamer on a budget I'd recommend the Lenovo y410p which has been on sale for quite some time and the specs are more gamer oriented, but it will take them forever to ship it.

Ron Bushe (Indianapolis, IN): We've had this notebook just a couple weeks. Setup was easy. It boots up fast, but login is disappointingly slow. It came with Windows 8 and the upgrade to 8.1 is now available for free. We haven't done the upgrade yet, but plan to do so. We understand there is an option in 8.1 to boot to the desktop and a start menu, which will resolve most of the issues we have with Windows 8.Like another reviewer remarked, the edge of the notebook is tapered and isn't as thick as a network (RJ-45) jack. I don't find it an issue when plugging a network cable in, but it can be darn near impossible to get it out. Good thing the WiFi works great.

HP Pavilion g7-2240us 17.3-Inch Deal

T.Carr (Rochester, NY United States) : First I want to emphasize that I've only had this laptop a little over 2 weeks. In that time I have used the DVD burner to create the recovery discs (that's the FIRST thing everyone should do when they get a new computer, before they do anything else with it), the restore CD, a few other DVDs I needed to make (which ended up being fully compatible with my old Lenovo/IBM T61 laptop's DVD-ROM/CD-RW drive), had the computer running 24/7 for about a day and a night uploading backups, ran the computer almost constantly during the day for the past two weeks (on A/C power).

NYzon_er "NY review" (NY, USA): When I would open & close the lid, the monitor would stay black for 3 - 10 seconds and flicker 3 - 5 times before the image would stay. This started the first day and progressively got worse. I had turned off all monitor and hard drive power settings (no sleep mode, hibernation, etc)., and checked to ensure all drivers (video, bios, etc) were up-to-date. With all software up-to-date, I then knew it was a hardware issues. I called HP and tech support who agreed it was a hardware issue and offered to repair it for free as it was 4 days old. I told them "no" and am returning it. Also, the DVD drive would start for no reason and the function keys didn't always work. The sound key and monitor brightness keys sometimes took multiple hits to work.

Cliff (Virginia Beach): It took a few days, but I think I now have Windows 8 figured out. The Laptop itself is great. I like the speed and the 17 inch, very clear, display. The keyboard is easy to use, but I bought a wireless mouse. I don't like working with the touch pad. The only disappointment I have, is the CD/DVD drive is not Lightscribe compatible. It wasn't in the description. I just forgot to check for it. I'll get an external Lightscribe CD/DVD drive to use as I need it.

HP Pavilion G6-2235us 15.6 Deal

Jason Lo: I would highly recommend this product. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much with the amount of money I spent on it,and boy, was I surprised. It's nicely built and runs fast. Well done, HP!This is my first Windows 8 PC, it took some time getting used to, but I'm digging the OS so far. Also, I just wanna mention what a bargain it was, it was a whole 30 bucks cheaper than the similar 2210us model which has lower specs. I'm extremely happy with this purchase, worth every penny!

Mfrank84: As for the computer itself, I've only had it a few days but it is exactly what I wanted. Not a high performance machine by any stretch but it's no slouch either, A lot of computer for the money. It came with 4GB of RAM and I ordered an additional 4GB memory card which should be in soon and then this machine will be maxed out. Screen view is excellent. Start up is quick after removing some of the crap ware that came with it. After reading all the hate reviews on Windows 8 I was a little leery. Although it is different, I'm beginning to like it. Windows 7 desktop can be brought up easily if desired. Not a gamer or laptop movie viewer so I can't really comment on these aspects.

Susan F. Keith "fern" (Greenville, SC, USA): When my laptop bit the dust, I scoured the internet for a replacement - looking for the best value. I'm retired, and am very frugal with my money. I read reviews, compared specifications, and came down to about 4 laptops. When I realized one of them was the same brand and model that my daughter was using, that made my decision. My daughter's HP Pavilion is several years old, but working great - and she shares hers with her 3 children. It's taken a beating, and still performs. My only worry was the new Windows 8 operating system. Other reviews indicated the operating system was difficult to learn and hard to understand. It looked to me like I had no choice. All new laptops were Windows 8.

HP ProBook 4540s 15.6 Deal

Mischa: Aesthetically pleasing, by far. The finish on the aluminum on top is really pleasing to me. The computer looks good. The keyboard is a nice size. So far I have no complaints about the mouse touchpad after you turn off touch to click option (with it on, the mouse resets in odd places...). The Keyboard is smooth and not very loud.
The computer itself has a lot of nice touches. a fingerprint reader allows easy logons with fingerprint swipe (totally new to me). Lots of quick keys for function on the keyboard.

James :Well made, decent performing laptop that seems like it will last for a few good years. The case is very sturdy, resulting in a fairly heavy machine. So far the battery life seems like a solid few hours. Screen is bright and clear. The keyboard is comfortable to use and the number pad is appreciated. After using the touchpad, it seems OK- a little weird at times but all of them seem to be. I prefer using my mouse 90% of the time but its what I'm accustomed to. The fingerprint reader was a pleasant surprise; I was prepared for it to be just a gimmick but it works.

Lare (Washington State): Have purchased a couple of these. No complaints except for them coming with Windows 8 installed. Wish they had Windows 7 because Windows 8 really sucks. I don't know of anyone that likes it. Thankfully, there is a program that makes Windows 8 look similar to Windows 7. They can take Windows 8 and trash it as far as I'm concerned.

HP Pavilion 17-e040us 17.3-Inch Deal

KV Trout (Centerville, USA): I've had this a while now. I fixed the screen reflective problem by buying an anti-reflective plastic layer that fits over the screen. I bought it online and I don't remember the name of the company (it was a private vendor, not amazon; do a search for "view guard").The only problem I've had with it is the trackpad not responding to tapping to select a link or open a folder etc.
I downloaded a new driver from the hp web site and that SEEMS to have resolved the problem. If it does not and I continue to have problems I will post another update . Meanwhile you can assume I resolved the problem.

Sean Byron (Milwaukee, WI): This is a superb laptop. HP makes pretty nice machines - this is very unique in with most laptops feeling so cheap this one really feels like a lot more then the $750 or so it retails for. It has a very good processor in the i5 and HUGE RAM at 8GB- what that translates to is a very enjoyable and fast/responsive experience. I would not have felt cheated had this been priced art $1000. Make sure you get this one though as there is a little cheaper one out there that is very similar.

Formen: The HP Pavilion m6 adds some high-end details from HP's more expensive laptops, while keeping the price down. This is a highly configurable system, with options for discrete graphics and fast CPUs. This near-ultrabook packs in processing and graphics power, along with an optical drive, at a reasonable price. The only real knock against the Pavilion m6 is that some of HP's higher-end systems hardly cost more but it's not a bad choice. Especially considering the affordable price and not a lot of them offer mid-range to high end specs like the Pavillion M6 does.

HP Envy TouchSmart 15-j080us 15.6-Inch Deal

Michael (WALNUT, CA, United States): I bought this online on cyber Monday. I got it last Friday. Really cool lap top but not impressed with W8
I am happy with the hardware. Its slim, battery life is over 6 hours, with average use. I am sure if you were playing videos or games, it may not be as much, but I figured you may be able to watch a movie start to end without battery running out. It's light, screen gets really smudgy with finger prints.

Del S (Arizona): Fantastic Windows 8 Touch Ultrabook by HP. Cyber-Monday was the perfect opportunity for this purchase. Our family purchased two of these devices. We would have purchased 3 but there was a limit. This laptop has all the performance and requirements you will need to do majority of computing tasks. Love the superfast 15 seconds Windows 8 boot up time...much thanks to the 32G hybrid mSSD cache. Benefit with a hybrid mSSD gives you more capacity with a traditional 500GB HD plus the ability to quickly start up your computer. This is the way to go for performance / capacity at a lower price.

Valerie Carter : I decided time to replace my laptop after 6 years. With all the new technology and options, I was confused and undecided. Shopped around a fair amount. After looking at all the brands and options at Best Buy, I decided this one would suit my needs. I went to Amazon and found it cheaper than the sale price at Best Buy and got free shipping with my Prime account. Not a big deal getting used to Windows 8 as I use an iPhone and iPod. I can can switch between touch screen, touch pad or use a mouse. This is really fast and does not get heated up like my laptop did.

HP 2000-2b19wm 15.6-Inch Deal

Collier D'Michaels "Dynamo" (Indianapolis, IN USA): I've just gone from XP :-) to VISTA :-( & now to WIN 8 :-/ totally by-passing WIN 7. I'm still getting used to the finger-sensitive mouse pad, but don't let that discourage you from trying WIN 8; the integrated mouse pad is really a stellar design. Its really no different than using your fingers to navigate an iPhone screen. Like with anything new, you hafta' read-up, do your homework & finally put your own hands on it & play around with it a little bit. Yeah, I was slow to take-off with it at first, but within 2 weeks, I can now navigate all my screens (Apps, Desktop, Internet, etc.) with ease.

J. Bondy : This laptop caught our attention with its reasonable price. Usually a low priced machine is missing some key components. This laptop met the specifications we needed. We wanted a work machine and it does that well, along with being a nice looking machine. It is not the smallest or lightest out there but it is fully equipped to work. After two months of daily use it has proven to be our workhorse. It has all we need for office work and can be carried when needed. We were not planning to go with the HP brand, but the price, looks, and specifications convinced us.

Nanny : I like this laptop. The windows eight would not be my first choice if I were to buy another it would not be with the windows eight. There weren't any manuals with it either which I find odd. I would have liked instruction books. The library has a nice book for those that have not used the windows eight before. There really is more to the windows that what I will use. Also It does not have a words program installed and requires one purchased separately which was an unexpected expense. Still it seems like a great buy to me.

HP 2000-2c20NR 15.6-Inch Deal

Mikhail : This computer is dependable, fairly fast, and fairly powerful. It is dependable and can run many programs at once. I enjoy Windows 8, although it certainly takes some getting used to. The graphics are nice and I can play games with but a little lag. It is a good, sturdy little computer for the money. It is a jack of all trades, master of none. Don't expect it to be able to run 50 programs at once or to run skyrim without lag.

 D. Pasquino (Europa): The only complaints I have: the touchpad and the microphone. The microphone sounds as if someone has put a blanket over it. Immedietly after purchasing this computer I bought a microphone off of this website for $15 and it works much better.
I also purchased a logitech mouse. The touchpad is almost unusable. It is slow to respond and sporadically does not respond at all. I will only have one finger on the touchpad and it will suddenly zoom in and out as if I had two fingers on it. If you try and move your mouse to the right of the screen it will swipe in between programs. It is extremely annoying and I do not recommend using the touchpad.

Abdullah m alateeq: I declined as it wasn't a reasonable offer. So be forewarned: IF you get an HP product, the repair dept. may break it and the company will NOT fix it. They will blame you. IF you do send it in for repair, take a dozen photos from every angle as you'd have some proof. I'd take a picture of the box just before you send it as well. I have had 2 laptops, a camera, and printers from HP. Never again. I also sold my shares of HP stock! BUYER BEWARE! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER! p.s. I did not purchase THIS exact model.

HP Envy 14-k020us TouchSmart Ultrabook Deal

Gina Lollobrigida (Atlanta): At the time of purchase there weren't any reviews to go by and this is an inexpensive knockoff so I was a bit hesitant to order it at first, but so far so good. The cord is nicely packaged, it's the same solid-feeling weight as the original adapter for my Pavilion 15-b010us Sleekbook, and it has a cool blue light that shines when it's plugged in. My only teeny tiny gripe is the size of the plug is slightly larger than the opening it goes into. On one hand it's nice because the adapter fits more securely so it lowers the chance of it accidentally being pulled out.

Pinkash: Even with a couple good reviews, I will admit I was still a bit leery of buying a non-name brand charger. Works great though! This was purchased for my HP 14-b120dx and it charges just as quickly as the original HP charger. As the other reviewers have mention, it is a bit of a snug fit. I don't notice the tightness when putting the plug in, but it does take a few tugs to pull out. I'd much rather a tight fit though, then a loose fit that keeps disconnecting while charging (which I have experienced in the past when trying a "universal" laptop charger).

C. Reynolds : The charger itself does what it is supposed to do, but it has an overall feeling of low quality. The connector, which plugs into the laptop, is much larger than the stock power adapter and requires quite a bit of effort to push in as well as remove. The plastic casing is larger than the stock unit. Finally, the last issue is the fact that the adapter puts off much more heat than the stock adapter. With all these issues aside, this adapter fills the need that I had for a second adapter to keep in my backpack for when I go to school.

HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15-n040us 15.6-Inch Deal

Gabe C. : This laptop packs a lot of features into an incredible price. For your everyday email, browsing, spreadsheets, etc. this machine with its quad-core processor handles everything with ease. I was most impressed as I tried out some more entertaining apps (games) as well as streaming videos - nice and smooth and the system doesn't get hot or every feel like its working hard. For its features, I love the full size keyboard as well as number pad, and there is plenty of memory and hard drive size for what I need.

A. Feeney (Chicago, IL) : Don't let the price fool you, this laptop has lots of power and compared to my old Intel unit, is at least 3x's as powerful when it comes to graphics. I'm a digital animator, I budget on excel, and do just about anything you can imagine on my computer, so if this baby can handle everything I throw at it, it'll handle everything you can throw at it too.

Visual8 (Caracas, Venezuela): After doing some research on laptops, I came across this specific model and was impressed with the specifications. I had read many people dislike Windows 8, so I was a bit skeptical. However, since I bought it, I can't seem to stop bragging about it! The laptop is thin, sleek, and fast! The screen size is perfect and clear. I LOVE the touchscreen! It makes everything so much easier and faster! I use on a daily basis to access my email, view documents, etc.. and it works marvelous! Love it!

HP Envy 17-j040us 17.3-Inch Deal

Bill (USA): What a laptop!! I have no idea what that other guy was talking about with the slow responding issue. This laptop is extremely fast!! I am able to play all sorts of games like minecraft and call of duty on nice settings. I will recommend this to anyone who wants a multimedia laptop! I was really happy with my purchase but I wish they had a back-lit keyboard included, not that big of a deal though.

Dave (CA): I have the 15.6" version of this and its a great laptop for the price. The graphics card is integrated and runs on system RAM, meaning it will outperform many 1-2gb cards with dedicated RAM when the laptop demands more performance. The A10-4600m is a strong AMD CPU, able to compete with the comparablely priced Intel i3 & i5 CPUs. For gaming purposes, it will run almost all newer games at low-medium settings with antialiasing off. Older games 3+ years old all run at high-ultra settings, including games like Fallout 3/NV, Oblivion, Age of Empires 3, Bully, Company of Heroes, Lord of the Rings BFME2, and many others without issues. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a graphics intensive laptop for music and video editing, as well as gaming or just facebooking.

Andrew Stull: It's fast enough to run the Kindle Fire HD emulator that I couldn't run on my old laptop. In hindsight for that purpose it would have been better to get an i5-based laptop so that I could use HAXM which needs the Intel variant of the virtualization extensions. Still, for Android emulation purposes I can run Bluestacks on it, and Bluestacks runs at a very nice speed (it must be using the AMD virtualization, as expected since they have a partnership with AMD).

HP 2000-2d20NR 15.6-Inch Deal

Abby: This computer is dependable, fairly fast, and fairly powerful. It is dependable and can run many programs at once. I enjoy Windows 8, although it certainly takes some getting used to. If you try and move your mouse to the right of the screen it will swipe in between programs. It is extremely annoying and I do not recommend using the touchpad.

D. Pasquino (Europa): I have an HP laptop which I sent in for warranty checkup (fix some rubber screen bumpers, cleaning, fan noise, etc.) On the way there or at HP, it got damaged, which they claim was my doing and wanted $128 to fix it! They were nice saying that was a ½ price offer! But THEY caused the damage to the laptop!? The reps said, "Do you have pictures of the laptop?" Ha! So when I refused to pay and it was returned, it would not even turn on! I had a professional engineer open it and he said it must have been violently dropped as the CPU had come unseated. Also they cracked the hinge on one side, so I couldn't close the lid w/o snapping the screen off.

HP Pavilion Touchsmart 11-E010nr 11.6-Inch Deal

Luckyone: It comes with windows 8 and you can switch to windows desktop with a push of the screen or by pressing window button on the keyboard. I believe windows 8 is far superior to windows 7 and the touch screen is a real nice item! I bought this after looking at a bunch of them and decided I wanted touch screen & windows 8-with desktop like windows 7. The start button is missing but its coming back in the next update. I'm using short cuts to 'my computer' and 'my documents' to get around it.

Louis Sander (Pittsburgh, PA): There's no optical drive in the computer, and I haven't yet hooked it up to an external drive and tried to load any software. Based on other reviews, I don't expect any problems. I haven't used the machine on battery power, but it seems to have ample battery life. It gives you battery reports in percent remaining AND an estimate of what that translates to in time. I imagine that this is a Windows 8 feature, but whoever put it in, it's nice to have.

Marianne C. Rafferty "womanoperator.org" (Albany, NY): Looking for a laptop to go to Florida that was not as bulky as my 15 inch, or as heavy I picked this up on sale and as of two days it seems a really good buy. It is quick, loads quick has windows 8 which I am getting used to and I am getting used to the key placement although I wush it had a back lit keyboard and as you know it doesn't have a cd dvd drive. Other than that for a little more than 350 I am very satisfied

HP Pavilion 17.3 Deal

David A. Hebard: I brought this for my wife. The screen is huge which is what she wanted. It is great to watch movie. Windows 8 takes some time to get used to but not for novice. Personally, Microsoft's OS's are getting worst and worst. The computer itself is great for what she needs to do. The 6 gbyte ram really helps speed up the cumbersome OS.

Susanna Ng: The laptops will appear nice once you buy but after a short while of usage, they will go south and you will no choice but to send them with a good faith for repair. Unless you're still in warranty, kiss this bad HP goodbye.
This is how they get the poor American consumer by selling a short life product and profiting over us buying extended warranty over and over on a defective Chinese HPs.
Save Us Amazon from this evil and monstrous company that is mis-managed overseas and abusing the American Consumers thru bad manufacturary and unfair plots for profits.

Nora: I looked at the price of this laptop on best buy and it is over $1000!! This is a STEAL! If you have a newer smart phone or a tablet of some sort, then windows 8 will be easier for you to understand. You can also download a shell that makes it so your computer will look like the older windows. I absolutely love this computer. The screen is GIANT. It's very fast. It's lightweight and doesn't get hot. I burned a few cds already and it took under a minute. It a gorgeous computer. I have been an avid hp fan for over 10 years. I had my last laptop for 6 years and only just replaced it. Never had any issues with it...I only replaced the charger on it and that was it. Not even the battery needed replaced. Hp goes above and beyond my expectations and I am so thrilled about this laptop. The only thing I would change is that it's not a touch screen and it doesn't have a finger print reader.

HP Pavilion 17 17-e020us 17.3-Inch Deal

Josefina B. Balarbar : Bought it as an upgrade for an older laptop. I love just about everything about it except that it has Windows 8. What a terrible operating system experience. It is not intuitive at all; it's confusing and difficult to use so far. Helpful tip is 'windows key' + D will get you back to the normal desktop and access to the Start menu that most people are used to.

Kevin R. Clements (Miami, FL): It's uncompleted operation system - Win8 installed. Because I cannot use remote desk to get access to the laptop, which means I have to bring it everywhere! It sucks. And I don't find any statement of the incomplete system on the sales page. It is one kind of swindle. Anyhow, I won't buy any products of HP, and I will advice my friend to seriously consider before they purchase HP.

Jennifer lucas: They would not honor the one year warrantee they said I purchased it in July and I bought it in September from Amazon and would only give me a 10 month warrantee. They asked for a hand written receipt from Amazon when I said they do not give receipts that your debit card is your receipt. They did not want to even accept that unless I faxed the entire bank statement to them. I refused because there is too much confidential information on it and only copied and pasted the transaction into an email. 26 emails to them and sending the information over and over and even 3 times in one day to 3 different people. They are useless in my opinion and do not deserve to receive my money for future purchases anymore. Going to buy a MAC next!

HP Chromebook 11 Deal

A. Dent "Aragorn" (Minas Anor, GD): Yes, Chromebooks can't do everything. Google's productivity suites notwithstanding, they are mainly and they are best at media consumption rather than production. Nobody should buy a Chromebook and expect to be able to edit video or perform some heavy word processing or do some hard-core gaming. There are other machines and devices for such tasks. My experience is that a Chromebook can't do 'everything'. Tablets are more portable, PCs and laptops are more powerful but, to me, my Chromebook is the most fun to use and it's likely to stay this way. I am not going to call it my 'second' or 'third' or 'first' computer but, objectively, it's the one most use outside business hours if what we measure is 'hours'.

Joel Rodriguez "Joelyesca" (Cape Coral, FL): First of all, I believe that words can't express how satisfied I am with my new HP Chromebook. It is super thin and light and extremely beautiful. It is so practical that I can charge this laptop with the same charger of my smartphone and the other way around. This is the best laptop on the go.

Cenile D. Mentia (Chicago, IL): Let's start with the hardware. The design of this Chromebook is completely different compared to Samsung's model from last year. This is partially because it's made by HP, but also because Google teamed up with HP to design this new Chromebook. There's two color choices now, black and white. If you pick the white version, you also have the option to add Google-colored accents to the edges of the keyboard, while the black version is more understated, with an all black finish. Whether you like the new design or not is subjective, but it does retain the thinness (.69 inches) and is actually .1 pounds lighter than the previous Samsung model. There's also a new LED light bar on the back, similar to the Pixel. It lights up with the Google colors when it's on, and it looks pretty nice. Personally, I think it's a well designed laptop. It's simple, lightweight, and the unsightly bump from last year's model is gone.

HP 2000-2d10NR 15.6-Inch Deal

bkabat : I was a little bit nervous purchasing this laptop considering the specs listed on amazon's site are different. The top of the page says the computer has Windows NT operating system and the bottom said Windows 8. I took a chance and ordered the computer and I LOVE it.Its very fast and picture quality is amazing. I love that it has an HDMI output. My only computer only had VGA. The difference in streaming video on the computer and onto the tv is amazing.Windows 8 is taking a little while to get used to. I was using Windows 7 previously but I'm starting to get the hang of it.

Patterson: Open the access area... battery compartment or entire bottom of the laptop, locate where the RAM slot is, remove the existing module by pressing down on the retaining clips, remove the module, get the new module and line up the notch in the row of metal pins at the bottom of your module with the key in the SODIMM slot on your motherboard. (If the notch doesn't line up right away, flip your module around and try it the other way. It doesn't matter which side of your module has the black chips or the stickers on it. The important thing is to line up the notch.)

Rita Nieto: came with windows 8, biggest mistake of my life. win 7 was the easiest o/s to work with, win 8 is designed by son dumbs--t who doesn't understand how hard it is to change habits learned on older machines. you gotta hunt to find what you need, caution, it may not be in the new o/s. touch the wrong spot on the touch pad, it takes you hither and yon. the capping pain in the a-- is turning off the computer, they want you to hibernate instead, gotta go thru a buncha steps and screens to power down!!
last minor complaint, shell is gloss black, finger print city.

HP 2000-2b09WM Fusion E-300 Deal

CAPRI (CA): This HP laptop in Winter Blue, presents as a very expensive model. It is an impressive, attractive, affordable laptop for entertainment. Having spent $1200 on my previous laptop, which crashed the weekend before Black Friday, I decided to look for value. I was able to pick up this one for under $300. WOW I can buy 4 new computers for the price of my now dinosaur. With an 8GB memory stack this HP will surpass the features of my previous expensive laptop. Even if it lacks the higher speeds of more expensive alternatives, you will love the display, and did I mention the movie experience? Another WOW! I would definitely recommend this to my friends.

Derwin Norford: The computer looks nice but has its share of issues. First of all Windows 8 is horrible, horrible, horrible. Forget your current copy machine, fax machine, or printer. This system rejects ANY software not designed for windows 8, not to mention Word or Excel software that you might have. They want you to spend more money on the same stuff you already have.

Johnny arizona: Go to a 'thrift store' and get any mouse, and get a keyboard, and plug them in. This will elimated the crazy mouse issues this computer has. Yes, it sucks because you bought something compact, but if you want to keep your sanity, do that. I will caution you here, when looking for a keyboard make sure the connector is flat and not round. There is no place to plug a big round connector. The next issue is that it hard to find keyboards with a flat plug in connector. Guess what?!?! I bought a simple 'Apple' keyboard for $3. It had a flat connector. I figured what the heck, for $3 I'll give it a try. Guess what? It works great with this computer. I have no more problems with the heat of my fingers doing crazy things with an oversensitive mouse. No problems, nada.

HP 15-E028US AMD Dual-Core A6-5350M 4GB 750GB 15.6 Deal

Love it!: I have been needing a new laptop for a wwhile now and after reading the reviews on this one, it sounded perfect for me. I maade the right choice! It has all the features I was point for at a great pprice! Windows 8 takes some getting used to but overall I think it's worth the effort.

Jordan1375 :I actually picked this out for a friend of mine to purchase. Yes, I will shop
& compare literally HUNDREDS of items before I pick what I feel is the best merchandise for the best price!
My Son has an HP & loves it. This laptop is very nice looking, hooked up with WINDOWS operating system. It
had unlimited APPS for shopping, research, gaming, etc. It comes with a charger that works very quickly. The quality of graphics is impeccable. It has a nice large screen. It has disc recording capability & USB hook up to feed into laptop &
also reverse back onto a different media. There is so much offered with this
laptop!! It is not heavy or bulky, it is actually quite streamline. It is sharp shiny black in color.

Mare "Mare" (East Troy, WI): This rating was chosen more for the customer service provided by Best Buys on the Net, which was outstanding, than for the product itself. There is nothing wrong with the laptop...it runs perfect, and meets all my needs. But Windows 8 is NOT user friendly, and takes some getting used to.More than meets my expectations. The only thing I wish it had is the additional number pad that the gateway laptops have.

Collier D'Michaels "Dynamo" (Indianapolis, IN USA) : I've just gone from XP :-) to VISTA :-( & now to WIN 8 :-/ totally by-passing WIN 7. Props to HP for the laptop features (3 USB, 1 LAN, Web-cam WITH built-in MIC, SD slot, 1 HDMI port, 4G RAM, etc.).

J. Bondy: This laptop caught our attention with its reasonable price.

Motherhen (Florida): You get what you pay for when purchasing this laptop. Its not super fast, the applications crash sometimes, it has a nice keyboard, love windows 8, you definitely need security, and my biggest issue the fan is loud so clean frequently. It has a lot of storage, love the screen size, and it has a pretty good webcam.
